Fair Jeanne, a Canadian brigantine sails in company of the Lannon in the Parade of Sail into Boston Harbor that kicked off Sail Boston 2000.

You may know that from July 11-July 16, 2000, the Tall Ships were in Boston. This was an amazing gathering of ships from all over the world, between legs of two transatlantic races. Plans were in the works for a long time for this major event to happen.  We had a blast being in Boston for the week to participate in this event.

We plan to participate in Tall Ships Boston July 8-13, 2009. The Lannon will be available for private charter in Boston harbor during the week of Sail Boston 2009. Stay tuned.

A private charter during Tall Ships 2000 with fabulous food!

Pictures taken from the Lannon:

The Danmark from Denmark is 253 ft. long.

Heath has a great perch on the bowsprit as we approach the docked Class A vessels at sunset.

Russian ship Kruzenshtern (376 ft.) at anchor before the Parade into Boston Harbor.

Lots of flags flying added color to the festivities.

Tom is at the wheel as we sail near the Constitution (306 ft.).
