To kick off the Music Sails in 2009, the Lannon
hosted a
Benefit Sail
for the Boston Celtic Music Fest on
Sunday, June 14th.

A 'crew' of BCMFest performers sailed for a floating fun(d)raiser
and sunset sail onboard the Schooner Thomas E. Lannon. A donation of $50
reserved a spot on deck of the 65-foot schooner as she sailed around beautiful
Gloucester harbor, while some of the Boston area's finest Celtic musicians* filled the air with
tunes and songs, all to rev up for and benefit BCMFest 2010.
*The lineup of performers
included fiddler Katie McNally, singer Michael
O'Leary,
accordion player Susie Petrov, harper Carol
McIntyre,
piper/whistle player/singer David de la
Barre,
guitar/bouzouki player and singer Sean
Smith, banjo/mandolin
player Steve Levy and guitar/bouzouki
player Lin Swicker.
